Pro Gator for sale!!!

$

I have a Pro Gator for sale. The machine is in good mechanical condition and has a brand new $115 J.D. battery. It also has a 2 inch receiver hitch on the rear and 4 headlights. The guy I got it from painted it black because that's his "company" color on all his trucks and for the price I want I won't apologize for his doofus move to paint it.

If you're not familiar with these machines they are hydrostatic drive, so there's no belts and no clutches to wear out! All you have to do is press on the peddle and GO..........and as I understand from Deere's info it will run about 22 mph and haul about 3300 pounds!!!

If you're interested in this machine please don't waste your time or mine with emails and I do NOT text anyone, so the phone always rules.

The first one with just $4000 is going to own it.
If you need it shipped I can meet your driver at a local John Deere store that has a truck dock.

Call Phil at 815-9seven3-8one28.

Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks

Features and benefits:

•RSX-tuned piggyback shock from Fox Racing Shox®

•Fully adjustable spring preload for different driving styles and ride height settings.
•Piggyback reservoir houses high-pressure nitrogen gas, separated from the damping oil by an internal floating piston (IFP). The separation prevents aeration (frothing) and viscosity degradation of the oil which improves damping consistency and performance fade.

•Large, 2.0 aluminum bodies help reduce internal pressures and improve heat dissipation, which results in consistent fade-free performance in aggressive riding conditions.

•Compression adjustment allows the user to tune damping rates for different riding preferences and trail conditions.

•Tuned with Fox Factory support on some of the most grueling trails in the United States.

A considerably plusher ride over the ruts and rocks and less harsh bottoming out with exclusive trail tested valving and spring setup for sporty, aggressive or casual trail riding. Made of high quality 2" aluminum bodies, 5/8" hard chromed shafts, 2.5" lightweight springs, preload and compression adjustable. The FOX 2.0 coil-over piggyback shock, now available with external tool-free compression adjust to let you fine tune your ride and handling to your personal preference, terrain or load situations. Fully rebuildable and serviceable. For 50" wide UTV's, this is the best valued performance and sport oriented package of choice. Choose between a Heavy Duty or Standard calibration based on your personal needs.

LSC

Low Speed Compression

With LSC, you can adjust the overall compression damping rate to dial in bump compliance. The LSC adjuster primarily affects compression damping during slow suspension movements such as G-outs or smooth jump landings.

LSC Adjustment Range

LSC also affects wheel traction and the harshness or plushness of the vehicle (note that low-speed has nothing to do with the speed of the vehicle). Choose an LSC setting that gives good body control without causing excessive harshness or loss of traction.

Are there stronger batteries we can run in these with no problems, or where can the dual battery kit be purchased, and how much is it and is it really a necessity? The other day while riding, my lights were on and when the fan kicked on the battery light came on. Also while winching out a rzr from being stuck. I'm running a radio on it, and plan on adding a light bar and a couple square cubes in the near future. I don't want to get stranded due to a dead battery like I've read a few guys have had problems with.

I thought I would leave this here for anyone looking to try a cheap plow out for the coming winter. I bought it for $560 but I see it has gone up in price.
72 inch DENALI Complete Snow Plow System with 2" Receiver Mount

So far I am happy with the fit. I am trying out a pully I had to slow the lift and drop of the plow and will need to get a smaller one to fit the cable size. The only negative I have so far is the wear bar was missing from my plow when I received it, but it is on its way.

Clutch issues.

Our Deere Rep stopped by the shop yesterday and I asked about some stuff to include the 825i and 550 clutch issues.
According to him, there is a fix coming out for the drive clutches on the 825i that will either be a clutch/belt replacement or a rework of the clutch.
As for the 550 clutch, it seems the last fix is working. Which was the replacement of the drive clutch, belt and trans clutch bolt.
He also said that Deere is very much in tune to what people are saying on the internet and they are striving to cure the problem.
I can personally say that the last several clutches we replaced under warranty were all called back by Deere. So something is going on. Usually they never want the parts back. Deere policy is we save warranty parts for 90 days, then dispose of them. On these clutches, we filed warranty on, they sent a pick up notice the day after.
So we'll see...
And they are looking into a new engine to put in the 550. No word what it will be..

Just finished R+R my right rear CV joint on the wheel axle...last step before putting on the wheel is to tighten up the "castle nut"...Thats the one that holds the brake rotor/hub...the service manual gives the torque spec in such a way...I am really unsure what it means....It's stated like this...
Axle Castle NutTorque 170 +119/-23 N·m (125 +88/-17 lb.-ft.)
Can someone please explain....Really want to put my wheel on tonight...
Thanks

I have a new 825i. It is pretty much perfect, except for the headlights will not work. It is under warranty. However, the dealer is a bit of drive.

The rear tail lights work.

Any suggestions. Thank you in advance

Love the gator. Have a winch. It has been extremely helpful, getting other things unstuck. The Gator keeps going.

I think we need to moderate the forum a little better. Many people are asking tech questions in the intro section or the general section. Maybe more sections need to be created as to different models of Gators. Also I think an intro post needs to be made before another post is made. This will do away with the "one post and gone" syndrome. Ideas?? Comments??

Just feels odd to me and scary. My husband has explained it to me but still not liking it. We have a mile long driveway straight up with curves winter is a bear! And would just like to feel better about this machine. Thanks

We Urge Off-Road Enthusiasts to Stand Up and Let Your Voice Be Heard

Fight the CPSC Mandates for Side by Sides - YouTube

Proposed U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission mandates negatively affect handling and performance capabilities of Side-by-Side Vehicles

Leading manufacturers of off-road vehicles, today asked off-road enthusiasts to stand up and let their voices be heard regarding the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) proposed mandates for off-road, side-by-side vehicles (ROVs).

Despite willingness by manufacturers, along with the Recreation Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA), to work in unison with the CPSC to develop ongoing safety improvements for all off-highway vehicles, the CPSC appears determined to mandate handling and performance capabilities, and require excessive and potentially unsafe restraint systems for future ROVs. If not halted, the mandate will unnecessarily limit design freedom in the off-road industry and negatively impact off-road customers.

The proposed CPSC “rule” would require off-road manufacturers to make arbitrary design changes to all future side-by-side vehicles. The proposed changes could lead to future off-road vehicles with reduced steering response, reduction in ground clearance, and more restrictive driver and passenger restraint and seatbelt systems.

“As an off-road community, we have a tremendous challenge in front of us,” said Paul Vitrano, VP, global government relations for Polaris. “As a unified community, we can protect our right to design, build and ride for today and the future.”

We are asking off-road enthusiasts to reach out to Congress, and voice their opposition. More information about the proposed mandate and how to speak out can be found at CPSC Ruling - Protect Your Right To Ride. Also be sure to voice your opinion on the CPSC Contact Form at Send a Message to CPSC's Information Center | CPSC.gov.
