Sluggish John Deere Gator 855D
My neighbor and I both have JD 855D Gators and we purchased them new in 2012 and they now have approximately 160 hours on each one. Both are now sluggish up hill. We have changed the fuel filter, air filter and checked the valve clearance. Any suggestions? Perhaps the diesel pedal cable can be adjusted?

850D Tire sizes ??
Ok, I'm wanting to run the same tire front & rear on a 2009 850D. I have the stock wheels (71/2" wide and about 5" back spacing) I might use the front wheels of a JD 855 tractor which are the same BUT only have a 4" B/S. I know for a fact using the gator wheels there are some 25x10's that will run in the front & some that won't ( can't even bolt them up) they hit the strut. My real question is how tall can I go and not lug it to much. PLUS the ratio will be different so does anyone know how tall & wide I can go & everything stay cool ??? Looking for as much clearance as I can get & as wide as I can run in all 4 positions.. Thanks

WTB Special Part JD Part
The following part is not available from John Deere or any of the JD Part affiliates. It is the rubber spacer that is inserted in the Quick Connect Clamps that are shipped with the JD windshield or OPS Poly Roof. The directions say they can be discarded.
I would like to get about a dozen of them to use with quick connect clamps I purchased for another project. The rubber spacers help to secure the QC clamps a bit tighter when used with different sized rails.
If you have any of the rubber spacers that you are not using or planning to use . . . I would be willing to buy them from you. Please let me know. I have rubber that I can use, but it needs to be cut and I'm not sure I can cut new rubber spacers that will fit as well as the originals.
Thanks,
FredSG

Trail Gator HPX 4x4 electrical problem
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, but not to Gators. I have a 2005-ish 4x4 Trail Gator HPX that has had tender loving care since it was purchased new.
A small but annoying problem has arisen; I have no parking lights on the front when the light switch is in the middle or headlight position.
Rear parking lights work. Front lights work on turn signal activation, or 4 way activation.
Bulbs are 2 filament, but only two wires....they have no ground as they just bayonet into a plastic holder. Both filaments seem to burn together. Both bulbs check out okay.
Fuses check okay, switch checks okay. Switch operates headlights properly. Jumping the switch wiring for the parking lights has no effect on the parking lights; jumping it for the headlights turns them on.
There is voltage across the parking light wire to the 'main' wire on switch, but, again, jumping it does not light the lights. There is a tiny, tiny bit of of current that is measurable at first when one jumps the parking lights to the common; it quickly drops to nothing.
My electrical engineering background from that points me to a bad ground, but I will be damned if I can find a ground point just for the front parking lights.
Everything else works properly....rear box hydraulics, battery charge, headlights, 4 ways, turn signals, accesory 12 vdc, plow lift.
Does anyone have the relevant section of the wiring diagram for the parking lights, or can point me in a direction to solve this dilemma? I've spent quite a bit of time fooling around with it.
Thanks for any help you might have.

'09 850D Glow Plug Issue
Can anyone please tell me how to run down the glow plug power wire. A light between high temp and glow plug comes on when starting, but glow plugs are not getting power in run position from switch and I don't think the specific glow plug light is coming on. When I start the unit, neither the high temp nor the glow plug light come on, it looks like a bulb between the two. Thanks for any and all help.

Noise Reduction kit/ Air Filter modification - Help!
I'm installing a noise reduction kit on an 825i with cab and bench seat, however the late version upper air cleaner cover does NOT fit under the bench seat set up.. Is there a different kit that should have been ordered for this model? Could not find any other variation other than late and early style.
