getting a lift on the gator

well after a long wait for a gear lift that I still am not able to get my hands on.i have chose another path carried the gator to longview tx yesterday an droped it off at solid metal wrx to have an 8 inch lift put on it an yes I said 8 inches will be a beast will have it back to carry it on a ride in oct.will post some pics as soon as I get it back in hand it will be sweet

I have a new RSX 850i on order which I would like to do something different for rims and tires. Is there any interest in the stock wheel and tire package? They are the black and machined Alloy 14" wheels with 26x8x14 and 26x10x14 Bighorn 2.0 tires. They will have zero miles on them if someone is interested.

Will fit an rsx 850i or 550.

I'm located in Wisconsin so they would have to either be picked up or I would ship them. If I can find a buy for both I will separate them.

First question is which ply is better 6 or 8 I ride in mud trails and and some rock crawling im looking at either 8 ply Blackwater evos 28 -9-14 or the 6 ply bighorns 29-9-14 any help or opinions appreciated thanks

Anyone know where i can find specs on a 1999 turf 4x2. Think SN/ID is w00turf 00607xx. There are no ID tag that I can find and believe they were removed when it was painted. Like to know what engine it has and any info on the clutch.
Unit has been modified; to start it you release the brake, put the xmission in forward and step on the gas. Unit starts but pretty dangerous and scary.doesn't seem to have a neutral though it acts like one if you hold the shift lever 1/2 way up. Can anyone enlighten me; what am I looking at for repairs. The 6x4 2006 runs as it should and has been by all appearance well maintained. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

older 6x4 trans-axel fluid

I have an older 6x4 - and I don't see any way to drain the trans-axle. I am reasonably sure that this machine has not been well cared for based on the condition when I purchased it.

The brakes which are an internal part of the trans-axle - are very noisy - squeeky. I found a suggestion to check refresh the oil. The oil is at the proper level on the dip stick...

Do I need to drain this oil - is there a drain plug or do I need to suction the oil out.

I was wondering if anyone had found anything on after market brake pads for the 850i. I haven't been able to find any and it seems that the replacements from John Deere are a little pricey to say the least.

I am looking into buying a used RSX 850i with under 500 miles but the owner says its not charging. It will run around until the battery dies then you are done. He had it at the dealer before with the same complaint and they replaced a relay under warranty now its out of warranty and he doesn't want to mess with it. What could it be the stator? Relay? Anyone else had this problem? Should I stay away? Its a '13 camo sport and only had 444 miles.

I'm done with the stock battery. It must have a bad cell. The battery tray is larger (wider and longer) than the stock battery, Anyone try a larger battery or a better replacement. If so, a brand and part number would be helpful, Thanks...

AMT 626 grinds gears going into F or R

Just bought a AMT 626 5 wheeler at auction. I have 2 problems which may be related. The parking brake on the dash will only go half way down from park. It does not move all the way down to release it out of park. Then it will not smoothly shift into F or R. I have to force it into F or R and it jerks forward and makes a terrible grinding of gears. Hopefully I can repair this myself as I'm already into this mess for $1400. I do have the 500+ repair manual which looks a little foreign. I'm not concerned about the parking brake level not going all the way down but the grinding of gears is going to break something unless I get this corrected. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

620i Fuel Pump not Working

I have a 620i and the fuel pump isn't working. I ran a direct power to it and she runs so I know it isn't the pump. Someone before me spliced the green lead from the pump connector to another green wire in the harness but that didn't work. I found the rule pump relay, I think, in the battery compartment. Is this the 8-terminal connector, about 8 inches long with the relay on the end? Any thought on what I should do?

Outside headlights won't come on?

I bought a used rsx and it had the rops mounted switch bank and 2 hella lights mounted under the roof. I took off the lights and started disconnecting the wiring harness which had a ton of plugs to it and now my outside headlights wont come on just the inside ones. What could have happened? Everything was JD and plug and play.

Trans breather leak idea?

I was thinking about all the issues with the trans/rear pushing oil out the breather.....would this work?

Install an inline oil/ fuel type filter near the top of the breather and hang it vertical. This way oil would go into the filter when hot, but the expansion should be enough that it will not continue past the filter and go out the breather, then since it's vertical when cool it should just drain back into the trans.

What is everyone's opinion?

new to me Gator TH 6x4 Diesel

Hell every one,
I have purchased a 2002 TH 6x4 Diesel this summer and have had quite the time with it. Most of it is fun but some not. I started with coolant leaks every where. This was relatively easy to repair. Removed hoses, cleaned the connections and install clean. replaced one hose as it was split. mid summer added a cheap 3000 lb super winch and carry a block for double the pull, just in case... Had a friend out running his little 4x4 and got stuck in a mud hole based with a little clay. This makes driving out near impossible. My Gator to the rescue. the winch worked great and out it came with that sucking sound included. It was disappointing that the fun was quickly over and back to the parking shed it went.

2007 6x4 th. Bought new in 07. Been to dealer twice and to manufacturer when we first got it. They said nothing wrong. When you put it in fwd or rev, you have to push gas pedal to get it to engage then it lunges. No grinding, just lunges into gear when rpms up. Any ideas? Shifts easily into gear, no issues there
