Driving my machine a lil last night and everything seemed to be operating fine...parked for a bit and went to take back off, when I get to 11-12 mph the front end makes an AWFUL grinding noise...Could this be the differential and what could have caused this??? Thanks for any help also, If it IS the dront differential, can it be disconnected from the drive line and still operate under 2wd???

New From NC
Hey guys, I've been lurking around here some, and decided to join up so I could ask some questions about the RSX850i. We have an 825 on the farm, and it gets it's use, but I need/want something to have fun on the trails with, as well as hunting and working around the house. My user name was supposed to say dieselnut, but... didn't catch that during registration. Look forward to learning here. I've been looking for a sporty sxs for sometime now, and have shopped for RZR's for a long time. But after reading and researching the RSX, I think it'll be a better fit for my family and I. I like the rzr for the aftermarket support and agility, but the bed on them is just to small for me. Can barely fit an ice chest. I'm hoping aftermarket support picks up on the RSX, I have a serious problem with leaving anything stock, and it won't change when I purchase one of these. Thinking lift, tires, tuner, exhaust.. would love forward and arched a-arms, but can't find any without spending thousands on a full blown lift kit. There are some sick looking rigs on here, looking forward to learning more about them!

RSX front bumper
Wanting to buy a factory front bumper off a 2012 or newer gator RSX sport, I have a trail model and there is no place to mount a set of front lights on the trail bumper, so if I can find a sport bumper I will be selling my trail bumper.

New guy question--tire change
I have a Gator 625 and I need to change the back driver side tire which is flat. I have a replacement tire mounted on the correct rim. I need to know where to attach the jack to lift the Gator. Thanks.

Shifting/clutching problems
RSX850i Trail..problems shifting.. some times when you shift gears it does not want to go into gear completely or does not want to go into gear at all. Then there's the times it sounds like a meat grinder and will not go into gear. Other times you can't get it out of gear without problems. Approx. 250 miles on the unit. Anyone out there have any of these issues? Any ideas on a fix? Next stop a call to the dealer. :confused: :mad:

Keep fouling plugs on 2012 625i
Any ideas on why I keep fouling the plugs on my 2012 Gator 625i? I have replaced them 3 times in the last 3 weeks. It runs great for a while then starts blowing smoke and missing. It has 280hrs and was running great. I ran some Seafoam through it because it was running a little rough and that seems to have made it worse. Not a mechanic, but really don't want to take it in, if I don't have to.

My mates gator slambs into drive and woulnt pull off without a sudden jolt

My mate has a gator 850 and when he selects forward gear it slams into gear and when he pulls off it also pulls off with a bang and jolts off,
My mate has no internet as he lives where you need a gator just to get to his house this is why i am asking if anyone can hel

HPX dies when fan cycles
I have a Gator HPX that shuts off when the cooling fan comes on. It will restart after it dies and runs fine until the fan cycles again. Anyone heard of this issue?

Gator leading the WORCS in the 850 class this year!
So i was reading UTVundergrounds blogs on the past couple of races and i was excited to see that in the WORCS series the Magnum John Deere 850i Gator has won back to back! The Gator is finally showing what she can do and it was beating everything in is class! I know that the gator they race is not stock by no means but to see the 850i is winning after being told by everyone it would never stand a chance is soooooooo good to me! :)

2 piece no scratch windshield
Who has it, who doesn't? Do you like it/reccomend it?
I really want this item for the colder months but have bad reviews from a family member regarding the scratch resistance etc... Is it worth the $600 from Deere or should I look into aftermarket items? I really want the lower portion 100% of the time yet the upper only when the Texas weather demands it.

Throttle Body ECU
This is associated with the "gator won't start" thread. Anyway, my machine is still acting up. As referenced in the previous thread, I was informed that there was moisture in my throttle body ECU. Also, I was told that if the problem persists, that I would need to replace the ECU. The price is apparently $484.00. Anyway, my machine is now hesitant to start sometimes and lacks power when you place it in gear and give it fuel (sometimes). I got stranded last night two miles away from home (without a cell phone) because it died when i stopped. When I returned 30 minutes later with another vehicle and tow rope, the machine fired up. I romped it pretty good getting home and noticed that there was some hesitation in the throttle response when I really got on it. I fired it up when I got home this evening and the same issue was noticed, had no power until it was warmed up (it's about 90 degrees here today). Anyway, I took it around the block (about 4 miles WITH my cell phone) and it ran decent. However, it won't go over 50 miles an hour and never would hit the rev limiter. Looked up the schematic and contemplating just buying the ECU and putting it on myself. Looks like I can save at least $200 in labor. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

625i idles and runs rough in warm weather
My 625I has this problem: When its cool or cold outside it runs great. But now that it is warm or hot outside it idles and runs rough. It started at the end o summer last year. once it got cold outside it began running great all winter. Now that its getting hot outside it started back running rough again. checked all connections and the fuel system. But still looking.

I've been seeing a lot of people asking what tire size can I run without scrubbing/how much clearance will it give me so I decided to make a thread about it. Please include what size tire you're running, if you have aftermarket wheels include offset and brand, if it scrubs when does it do so (ex. Full lock, on hills, in deep mud...), how much clearance the tires have given you... so on and so forth.. Remember a thread is only as good as the pictures it shows.

silent rider verses warranty question
Does anyone have any info about warranty issues with the addition of the silent rider system to a new 825i. I have received conflicting answers and have the unit ordered and on the way. Any info on this subject will be appreciated. My dealer says yes, but isn't sure and the manufacturer says no problem.Thanks for any input.

550 s4 Head Gasket
Dane you were right I needed to watch out for head gasket problems. The 550 started backfiring yesterday so I emailed Gulf Trackor and it is probably the head gasket. Gulf Tractor said that John Deere is aware of the problem and told Richard they would fix head gasket problems up to 500 hours no matter the length of the warrenty. So if anyone runs in to this problem John Deere will fix it.

Oil filter question/concern
Just looking inside the factory installed oil filter that I removed from my 2014 825i. I noticed it has a spring inside, assuming it is either a pressure relief bypass or anti drain back valve. The filter I installed (JD AM107423) does not appear to have this. In the technical service manual it suggests to use the for mentioned type. Any idea why the newly installed filter would not be like the factory one....Is there a filter to replace the (107423) that would have this feature....Thanks JD
