825i Snow Beast

I've my 825i Gator for about 2 months and it continues to amaze me. After our most recent snow storm I had 4-6 foot drifts to battle. Pulled the Gator out of the garage and plowed through the snow like a hot knife through butter. Have no doubt the Gator is a very capable snow-plowing machine that can keep up with the big boys. Here are a couple of before and after pictures.

Are the Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks worth the $1800 price to upgrade too over the regular Fox shocks that come on the trail and base model?

Hello everyone, I am a disabled Veteran and purchased my 6x4 Diesel back in '09. I have not done much to it in the way of additions but did just recently install a 2000lb winch as I am sick and tired of getting stuck with it. I would love to buy more aggressive tires in the future but hate the prices... So, that is it for now. I hope to get to know everyone a little more over time. I do currently have an issue with my machine and that is one of the reasons I found this forum. I will post my problem in its right section. Thanks, Gatorboy65

Just picked up a new project. Some kind of older 6X4 with a water cooled 2 cylinder gas motor. I found a number stamped under the passenger seat on the frame that reads V006X4X065315. Going to need some parts and need to know what I have in order to order things. Also what engine is in it because there seems to be a problem with the rear cylinder.

I just purchased a used v plow with up and down only hydrolics. The A frame on plow plow mounts perfectly to my 625 but the mount for the pump and cylinder arent even close. Im pretty sure the mount is for a 620. I talked to my local John deered dealer but they are no help. Anyone ever had any experience trying to make work.
Thanks.

Parked my new gator (90 miles) last week as there is too much snow in my area to run. Went out to garage yesterday and it would not start. I checked all the fuses and connections and everything looks ok. Engine cranks but will not start. Suggestions anyone??

Please check your Transmission dipstick seal!

This is the Yellow plug next to the oil fill cap.

Changed the transmission oil today and dipstick tube had a big buildup of dirt/sand going down the tube. Yes, it was completely pushed in.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case theirs is the same way.

Stereo install

Just bought a new rsx850i & was curious on a stereo. Has anybody mounted a stereo in the dash? I realize it may seem a little crazy to cut a hole in the dash of a brand new gator but I think I would rather have it on the dash than an overhead console. My thought was to put it just above the 4wd dial. Just wondered if anybody else had done this & if so where did you mount speakers or what speakers did you use? Thanks guys

Hey everyone, when I purchased my gator it came with a set of seats on a frame that fits in my bed. Can anyone tell me what they are called and if they are worth anything? It is in great shape! Thanks, Gatorboy65. Would love to get the electric lift for my bed...

removing the oil pressure switch on 98 gator

$

I bought a new oil pressure switch for the 98 diesel 6x4 gator which apparently has been upgraded from the original. The new switch seems to fit a 24 mm socket but the old one seems larger, it was hard to tell due to the location. I don't see that it can be removed with a wrench and the negative cable grounding bolt is in the way to remove the switch with a socket. Can the grounding bolt be removed or do I need to use a claw foot wrench? and if so, what is the older switch size? I know this is not a normal question but xcopterdoc will have the answer....I hope.
