Hi, I'm a new poster here, in fact my first post anywhere, period. I've got a 2013 825i gator with factory turf tires. I wanted the Big horn package but the Turfs were no additional charge that I could see and I could purchase the big horns and rims for the same price after the deal. The way I look at it the turfs were free.
Getting ready to buy the upgrade now and trying to decide what would be the best possible tire upgrade, money is no object.
Will be using Gator in Maine, packed gravel logging roads, some steep rockey mountain paths most likely with mud. Would like a littler more clearance. But I still would like to be able to drive across my lawn once and a while for chores.
Any help would be appreaciated.

Does anyone know which winch models will work with the super atv winch mounts? Are there any other mounts that have the recovery hooks on them? Have always had warn previously but thinking of giving viper a try...anyone have experience with viper? Thanks in advance!

I have a 2012 Gator with 65 hours, 415 miles. I was out riding it is the other day and it started smoking. I looked all over it several times. Long story short, I took it to my local dealer and they replaced the drive shaft that goes from the back to the front to drive the front wheels. The boot around the knuckle broke somehow, which caused it to loose all the greese after awhile of running the knuckle went out.
My question is has anyone else had this happen? Any other information would be great! Thanks!

I have a 2013 825I without a roof. I didn't get a roof because I was concerned about height of shed entrance but a roof will fit. Im tired of having rain, snow, and cold air blowing in my face and into gator. Thinking about getting a windshield. I saw a few units with 2 parts and a bottom vent. In the warm weather would like to keep it open. Do you recommend a windshield? If so, what model?

the old '97 6x4 diesel gator is coming along with new battery cables, new start and glow plug module and have new wheels and tires. Still need to address why my brake pedal doesn't stop it but the parking brake works and pulls the brake pedal down, missing cable probably. But here's the big question; the dump bed will go up but not down. I did notice it also spins, probably due to the missing bolt that should go thru the bed and shaft of the ram. The only way I was able to get the ram down was to "spin" it back, like it was threaded but that makes no sense it it's supposed to be attached to the bed. I haven't had time to check the switch in the "down" position to see if it is energized (1 possibility) or maybe the ram motor will not reverse ( 2nd possibility). any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

My HPX has the deluxe light kit and I was wondering if anyone knows why Deere decided to not light the from marker lights? They use a dual filament bulb, but the wiring is not there to power the second filament.
Is there some reasoning for this? Any reason I shouldn't make my front markers lights functional?

First, thanks xcopterdoc for the bed actuator information. I know you'll see this and I thought starting a new thread for a temperature issue might help others if needed. when starting my '97 6x4 diesel gator the cooling fan comes on right away along with the dash indicator light, I have coolant:). I assume I just need a new temp switch but before spending $80 the electrical diagram shows a B1 radiator core temp switch that when closed should allow the cooling fan to run but there is also a B2 engine coolant temp switch that lights up the H4 engine coolant light. Are both failed or does the B2 coolant switch close the B1 core switch but is not shown in the schematic? Apparently I have not memorized the wiring diagram:(

Hi everyone,
New here and I see this site is a wealth of knowledge. I just got a used 2011 825i and the speedometer/odometer are not working. It reads zero all the time. Also the left turn signal is illuminated on the cluster. Any ideas. 550 hours on it and the hour meter is working. Runs great otherwise.

The grill on your gator may allow sticks and debris to damage your radiator. I have a bolt on brush gaurd available to keep this from happening. The radiator costs over $350 plus the shop labor to remove and replace it. This is a cheap insurance policy to prevent your radiator from being damaged beyond repair. It bolts right on to your heavy duty brush guard. Fits 625i, 825i & 855D. $75+shipping

I joined the ranks of Gator owners with the purchase of an RSX850i last week. I have been a dual-sport rider for a long time, but had never managed to get my wife interested in offroad until we vacationed in Moab last summer. A day in a rental Teryx got us both hooked. Put on a half-windshield and a snorkel kit, but I'm still waiting for some weather a little warmer than single digits to take it off road. So far, all we have done with it is just driving it around town and on some county roads.

Hi all, me and wife were really surprise when our oldest son (lives in Manhatan Beach) flew in for Bronco game on 1/19 and dropped off the new toy. :D He wanted to get this for us so when his wife and our grandson are here we can all go wheeling. We did one cold trip on 1/20 with him before he went home. What we found out is we need a windshield.
Anyway, I belong to some other forms for JD tractors and cars etc. Will try to look for all the 825i info before I get more options installed.
Why my ID is ZR2Blz is we had 3 ZR2 BLaZers from 1997 to 2005.

j'ai un sérieux problème avec mon gator 620i. Lorsque que j'appui sur l'accélérateur, il ne veut plus avancé... plus de force, mais au ralenti le moteur tourne très bien. J'ai changer le filtre a essence, le regulateur a essence, les bougies et le coil d'allumage.....il ne fonctionne pas mieux.
je ne sais plus quoi faire....est-ce que quelqu'un a déja eu ce genre de problème??

I am a new member to a very helpful forum. Thanks for all the advice and ideas. If weren't for this site I would never had bought mine. Since then my wife and I have had great adventures. I have done a lot of very helpful upgrades so far. 30 inch maxxis bighorn, 2" lift kit from superatv, power steering from superatv, 42" light bar, stereo and lighted whip. Most of these upgrades were needed for better riding and few were necessary. We have been to windrock tenn a lot and planning on royal blue this summer. As for now we are happy with everything. However I am running warm to hot at times. Thinking of relocating my radiator next???

Lots of JD equipment on site. HPX's, every kind of Gator you can think of. My new 550S4 has a poly roof and cab and this is my first and only one. This is my concern, you can not hear a thing operating this machine it is so loud. Looking over threads I see that there are all sort of tranny issues, clutch issues and shifting problems. Not even ten hours and have had shifting issues:eek:. I would like to know if anyone else has a cab on there machine. I think that between the engine and trans the noise multiplies throughout the cab and it is what it is kind of thing:(. What you guys think, are these machines loud in general with out a cab? It is so loud that you can not talk to the person next to you.

Guys im in the process of building and ordering my new RSX and I have a question that my salesman wasn't able to answer for me. With the OPS full no scratch windshield can you run just the lower half if you want or do you have to run the whole thing all the time?

Well, it's been an unseasonably cold winter hear in central Indiana and I was having problems with my breath condensing on the inside of the windshield causing fog and ICE to build up when it was zero degrees (or a little colder!!) outside. Looked at the few options that were available. There are a few kits available and inspected quite a few heater systems that the Polaris crowd are installing. Everything from Mr. Heater propane heaters to high dollar automotive type heaters with defrosters and fancy switches. Also, just had a friend that got a tricked out Ranger 900 with all the bells and whistles, including the polaris premium cab, full heater, power windows and heated seats!! The amount of money spent to make a UTV as confortable as a vehicle is outrageous!! I could buy a base model Jeep for what some people are spending.
Anyway, I digress. My rationale for a heater was to keep the cab warm enough so that I could enjoy a little heat and make sure that my own breath didn't fog or ice the windshield (by the way, I run a Mammoth Soft cab on my RSX). Anyway, I also didn't want to drill holes in the top of my dash for the defroster option because I love the fact that I can hose out my cab when I wash it!!
Long story short, I installed an Aqua Hot unit in my machine this weak and am so far relatively happyy. Relatively easy install and puts out a decent amount of heat once the engine is warmed up. It's the same heater Kolpin advertises except you can get it on Amazon for considerably cheaper. Not singing praises by any means after only 24 hours, but I thought I would start a thread since there aren't any yet posted.

Hey guys im new to the forum and I love to ride ATVs and SxS. Im from Pink Hill, NC. i have been looking into buying a new RSX gator and since i work for a Deere Dealer id love to use my own equipment. I am a parts guy that was also a tech when i started my career here. thanks for having me! :D
