x825i and the physically challenged

I bought a x825i yesterday and after I got home I had one of those "duh, you jackass" moments.

With the height of the unit its going to be near impossible for one of my wife to get in and out of the unit.

Now some may think that not having your wife with you would be a great thing, but I enjoy her company and have done so for 47+ years.

So this may be the wrong forum to ask this but does anyone make some kind of side step for the x825i or something that could be used to assist someone who is physically challenged?

Thanks in advance,

JD

I bought a 2011 gator hpx gas. Finding stuff for it is a hard thing. Is this year rare? Do they make lift kits for it? What bolt pattern is it? And what's it's worth. It has 2800hrs in great shape. Has the plastic cab and heater in it. Any info will work. Thanks guys.

Hi everyone. I'm Jason from Texas and my wife and I are starting a small farm with 21 acres. We'll be raising sheep, chickens, ducks and miniature cattle. On Friday I bought a used 1989 John Deere AMT 622 in good shape. The hydraulic arm for the dump bed is leaking so I'll have that rebuilt. The brake needs adjustment. The drive linkage seems loose and it takes some work to shift it between neutral and forward/reverse. I'll be researching these things on this forum and elsewhere.

AMT 622 Shifting

Hi Everyone:

I bought an AMT 622 on Friday. Shifting is a challenge and I have to try several times to get each gear to engage. I find that pulling up on the handle helps get it in neutral.

This is my first vehicle other than a car. What do I need to look for, or is it just worn and needs replacement? How hard is replacement? I couldn't find any how to documents on this forum or elsewhere. If it's here and I missed it is apologize. Any help would be welcome.

I know this has come up before but can some one advise the thread pitch and dimensions for the JDG 11200 puller???? I'm in Canada and the JD stores in my area will not sell me a clutch puller.... Parts people say they will be fired if they were to sell one! I believe I can get one out of the US but don't want to wait the 7-10 days this would take to arrive. Help???

6x4 Wiring

Hi Everybody!

I have a 1995 Gator 6x4, gas, with the Kawasaki 2cyl water-cooled engine. I pulled the engine to replace a bad head gasket. Got everything back in, now the electrical system is dead. I did have two "bundles" of wires that I was not sure about, one had 4 black wires terminated by a wire connector that a bolt goes through, the other was 4 tan or orange wires with the same size connector. I think those both attach to the lower right rear of the engine block where the ground wire from the battery is connected. Can anyone verify that for me?

If that is correct, the electrical is still dead. Turn on the key, nothing happens. No lights on dash, headlights won't work, bed lift won't work. I have checked the two relays in the very back where the small red wire from battery goes, cables are good on battery, battery is fully charged. Seems as though the hot wire back to the switch is not getting any voltage at all. Any ideas?

Or, does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for a gator that old?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings! New to the forum and wanted to post a question...what would you expect to pay for a 4x2 gator? I was on literally on my way to buy a 2000 for $3500 but the seller called and backed out. Looking around again now for one but see prices all over the board. Any help is appreciated!

Engine stalling in wet conditions

Hello,

for quiet some time now, I am having this problem. Any time I get inside a shallow water (easy driving, not splashing) the engine stalls and can not be started for a while (20 min or so). I had my dealer's garage changed the coils, but it did not seem to solve it. I suspect that water are being splashed to the coils from the engine's fan wings.
Does any one else have this problem? Did you manage to solve it?
Attached is a picture of shallow water puddle, and a XUV550 stucked in it...

I'm looking for a clutch for a Kohler Command 30 for my Ezgo Workhorse project. The crank is 1 1/8 with a 1/4 keyway. Did any of the Gators come with anything other than the 30mm 1:0 tapper?
Thanks in advance.

RSX 850i problems!

Okay I have a 2014 rsx850i with about 1400miles on it. It has recently been acting up, it starts hard (takes many cranks before it will start) but the bigger issue is the motor will only rev until 5700rpm, and it should be around 7250rpm. The motor runs good otherwise just won't rev up! Since than been trying everything, checked clutches, changed belt, checked spark plugs, changed air filter, took off and cleaned the throttle body and all the air intake tubing leading into the motor. And nothing still will only rev until 5700 rpms. Also there's no check engine light or anything on, any ideas would be a big help! Thanks

Idles Rough

Noob to the forum. Have an issue that I am trying to work through. Have had a 2012 625i for a couple of years now. Has run fantastic until recently (month or so ago). Starts fine and runs fine, just doesn't idle well at all. Surges, picks-up, almost stalls, surges again, etc. As soon as you give it some gas, takes off and runs no problem. It's just at idle. Have replaced the air filter, fuel filter and plugs. Plugs were black carbon fouled. No difference. Thought somebody else may have had the same issue. Any ideas. Thanks, Robert
