625i Gator tool rack suggestions?
I recently purchased a new 2014 model 625 Gator with very basic OEM options. I have been unpleasantly surprised at the relatively few number of aftermarket options for the Gator in the face of substantial JD prices for their optional equipment.
My gator will be supporting a 325 acre tree farm with the need to transport pole saws, brush cutters, power limbers etc. Having difficulty finding a "landscape equipment rack" that would mount on the floor/side of the cargo box to transport that equipment in a horizontal format.
Would appreciate any suggestions for compatible racks to mount on/in the Gator box

Motor Rebuild
I've got an 1994 Worksite 6x4 with the Kawasaki 620D. The motor smokes real bad and it looses power on an uphill climb. I replaced the water pump and gaskets last year because there was water in my oil. Solved that problem but I've still got tons of smoke. Really, the mosquito's fear this thing. Of course as some of you have probably found out all the parts can only be purchased thru Deere for the small sum of your first born child. Question is, has anyone ever figured out a way to around that or is there a way around that? I'm wondering if I can just replace the rings and lash the valves and she'll be back to tugging like a draft horse again. The last four digits of the motor model # that designate it John Deere are AS11. Anyone every try parts from and AS10 or AS12?

Drive line knock
Hey guys
I have had my gator for a year now and it has always had a small drive line knock and it's slowly getting Lauder. The noise only happens when you let off the gas and go again or stop on a hill and go.sounds to me like too much slop in the transmission.
Doe anyone's gator do this?
And also the clutch engages rough it seems and slugs ahead when traveling at a slow pace the belt is brand new and hasn't seem to help anything
Any input would be helpful

fixing to buy used 855D
Hey Guys, I'm a new member and wanted your expert opinion. Ive found a 2011 JD Gator 855D and Im really in love with it and he's asking a real good price for it. Its in terrific condition from what Ive inspected and its only on its second owner who is selling due to a divorce and has to unload his toys quick.
It runs like a champ, has the factory tires on it still. Garage kept, windshield, Warn Winch, bench seats, dump bed assist, brush guard. The hour meter is not working so he's lowered the price due to not knowing the exact amount of hours on it. The local JD dealer says the last measurement they had for it was for 300+ hours in 2012.
As experts can ya'll advise me as to what I should be wary of or any cautions you may have for me? Ive decided on this model for our farm use since we have plenty of farm diesel to use for this ride anytime we need it. Its not the quietest ride our there but the family seems to like this one the best for the type of farm work we need done. What should I look over the gator for? I can't find any leaks or any drips or anything.
I welcome any and all feedback.

87 VS 91 Octane gas
Recently purchased a new 625I Gator. The Owners manual references 87 octane as acceptable fuel. In Wisconsin that involves a minimum of 10% ethanol. My past machine was an older Kawasaki Mule with essentially the same 600CC two cylinder engine. The Mule had a carberator and I was frequently advised to minimize the use of 87/ethanol fuel especially as the vehicle frequently sits for 3-4 weeks in a row without use.
Do forum members have recommendations regarding 87/ethanol versus 91 premium/no ethanol fuel? In any case I do use stabilizer fluid in view of the storage issues.
Thank you

825i Hard starting
I have a 2013 825i that is having trouble starting. Its got almost 9000 miles and close to 1200 hrs on it and it cranks over really good and finally starts. Problem is it smells like its getting flooded out and getting way to much gas. It runs good once it cleans out just having that issue. Put new plugs and fuel filter on it along with the air filter. If anyone would have some input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

JD XUV 550 4 wheel drive issues
I was out last week pulling fence post with our 550 when I heard something pop and then a grinding noise. I unhooked the winch from the front and soon noticed there was no tension shifting from 2 wd to 4 wd.
It's like it was locked in the 4 wd position even though the handle was moving.
I also noticed when I got into a bind later that 4wd isn't working and only my rear wheels were spinning.
I've taken the front covers off and doesn't apear any of the shifter cables are broken but the one for the 4wd does seem to be jamed up and won't move.
Any directions to begin checking what's going on?
Thanks

Bad sound in drive train part 2
I tore down the machine to inspect the belt as stated in my question on the other post. Found that the new Gates belt was missing bout half of the inner ribs. Gonna look at the service manual tomorrow and check the specs to see if my belt is misaligned since I put on a new primary clutch a month ago. Guess I could have just gotten a bad belt. It was installed and ridden about 300 miles during the extremely cold part of February. Anyone with any experience with this please chime in. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!!
On a side note, I would like to have a long discussion with the engineering geniuses who gave so much thought to the accessibility of the belt on this machine. Have had it apart about 5 times now and get more enraged each time! Luckily, I've left out more and more screws with each disassembly!! I've found that it doesn't take 30 or 40 screws to hold on plastic!

keep blowing fuel pump fuse????
I keep blowing my fuel pump fuse. I apparently ran over something that exposed a wire or something got wet, my reason for saying something might have gotten pulled loose is because it didnt get any wetter then its been before and was running fine then while driving through taller grass/water it started cutting out like it was out of gas (its not) so checked fuses and blown. Put another in and blown within a minute?? I havesince cleaned it up and loo km ed everywhere and cant find anything at all? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

HELP! 2014 850i Black SE too tall for trailer?!
I was about to purchase a 2014 850i Midnight Black special edition but my trailer entry is only 71" and I think with a roof the height on the 850i will be close to 75". Inside the trailer is taller so just need to get the 850i through up the ramp and through the door somehow.
I'm wondering if those Fox 2.0 Performance shocks that come on this version can easily be lowered while i'm loading or unloading to get it in and out of the trailer?
Or if not, then can I get a ratchet strap thingy and do that to both sides in the back to lower it about 4" or so?
I'm calling my fiancé "Dear" all of the time for subliminal messaging to get the approval when I explain why we need a John Deere 850i. Just gotta get all my ducks in a row and not miss anything that will lose me my chance.
My trailer width is 57.5 so i'm going to have to climb out the back to get out and in when loading, but all I can think is "fits like a glove!".
Thanks for any assistance and I REALLY hope I get this. I can't stop thinking about it.
Curt

850 running on one cylinder
I bought a used Rsx 850 that had been flooded in a creek. It came with another engine that needed new cams. Put the non flooded engine in with new cams and one cylinder ones great while the other one won't fire. I have checked spark and have it. Have tried multiple injectors and no difference. Have checked compression and it's good. I'm wondering if my timing is off. I have a tech manual for it and have read it multiple times and also have had a motorcycle tech look at it and says it is timed correct. Any one else have any ideas what it could be? Thanks in advance.
