Winch question of feeding line
I have a basic winch question.
Is there anything special you can do when you have to winch at an angle where the tree you are using as the anchor is off to one side so the line feeds more uniformly rather than bunching up on one end?
Given that your pull drops with each layer you obviously want to keep the rope feeding the uniformly on the drum.
My first thought is you basically winch as much as you can assuming you are making progress...stop, unfeed the slack to get back to original rope out, feed back uniformly on the drum until the slack is gone, and then repeat process. The caveats are the position needs to be stack..does not slide back after slacking ..and loss of any momentum is not lost.

Dead gator
Late yesterday jumped on the 850 to go check some sweet corn we planted a coupe weeks ago about 8 mi from the house. Got there and shut it down and restarted a coupe times. Got back home and was going to back up to the garage door to haul some stuff to the shed and it died when I let off to shift to reverse. Tried to restart and all it did was click like a low battery. Put the charger on it for a few minutes and and it started up right up backed up and loaded my stuff up but before I got to the shed 100 ft away the batt light came on.
Any one else had any charging, bad battery, voltage regulator issues??

Going Once Again
The 825I-S4 was returned once again today to the farm, now with a new motor and a rebuilt front diff, Wonder how many days I will get to enjoy it this time around before it breaks again... Id almost like to conduct a poll on what the rest of my fellow owners think will be the next part to break?

Gator 6x4 Regulator failed
Hi
Bought a 1997 Gator gas 6x4.
It's got an electrical problem. At the very least, the regulator is junk. It is not charging the battery and is actually draining it. I am having trouble finding the correct replacement part. I don't know the HP of the motor.
Someone wrote the number 'J4800' on the regulator- which might not be the original, but there's no other identifying stickers.
Here's the Gator PIN: W006X4X018669
Can someone tell me which regulator I need? Should the motor start and run with the regulator unplugged?
Was hoping to skip the dealer
price for this. Thanks.

gator problems
I had an axle go out after 117 hours of mild use. A poor quality bearing in the cv j. was the problem. Is there anyone else out there that has had this or like problems

2011 825i Headlights
New to the forum and I have what very well me be a stupid question but...
I purchased a used 2011 825i and noticed the headlights are not the same brightness. Upon closer inspection it appears that the reflective material inside the light housing has either come off or turned black. So I figured I would just pickup a set of new lens/reflectors from the dealer.
Here's the rub....the lights that are on the machine say Speaker on the bottom of the lens, and do not look like the ones online that match the part number. In fact, I cannot find a picture online anywhere that looks like these lights I have.

RSX front Rack!
Being a prospector I need a front rack to carry my metal detector, shovel, hoe, pick, etc. Being no one makes a front rack (yet) for the RSX I purchased a Moose universal UTV rack (#1512-0037) for the sum of $100 with F/S. No install kit required, but one was available for a Yamaha Rhino which is the same width and length as the RSX hood area but it cost more than the rack did!! All I needed was 4 bungee cords 10" long, 2 hose clamps 2-1/2" in diameter or 2 ball cords (pictures don't show the hose clamps or ball cords as the local hardware store is closed today). Easily removed or stays on when hood is opened and grill guard is pulled forward. Also I need to get a foam hose cover in 3/4" ID to put around the center rack bar that rests on the hood. Hose clamps or ball cords will attach where the front corners of the rack rests on the grill guard (picture #5). This is a 2013 Trail model

RSX Roof the same as 550???

Wanted: XUV rims
I am looking for a secondary set of rims and tires for my 620i. Finding used tires isn't too hard, but rims is proving difficult. Anybody got a set of rims for sale? Tires stiil on them is fine.
I bought this gator last year and it had aluminum rims with swamp witch tires. These tires are great for winter tires, especially where I hunt, but too aggressive for summer farm work.

New from MS
Hello forum. I bought a 2010 620i last year and I love it. The guy before me treated it right and put tons of extras on it. Radio, lights, winch, bumpers, guards, and on and on. This thing is a serious work horse. I joined this site because I have been looking for used rims with no luck. I posted about it in "for sale" forum. I live out in the country in central MS and my gator get used daily. Look forward to the discussion.

No John Deere Listed?
Will Discount Tire add John Deere to the "tell us what you drive and we'll tell you what fit" menus? I would especially like to see it added for the rims section as the Gators use a few different types.
