I looked at the gators the other day I really like them but I hear a lot of problems on here. Should I get one or not?? Does everybody enjoy them? Btw I am trading my rhino in pry a big step up from that. Thanks for any replys

What Gator issues????
We bought two new RSX's one for me, one for my wife, we bought
extended warranties for both, yes for personal use, perhaps some dealers
do not sell the warranties for some reason.
There is so much talk on the board about issues with these machines. I just want to tell someone good about these machines, I have driven my unit 500 trail miles, have had zero trouble, I mean zero. We love the machine, well built, easy to get in and out of, look cool, it's great! It is a bit noisy. and power steering would be nice, since RSX's are not cheap.
The second machine driven by my wife only 20 miles is too new to tell about, as she seems to want to go with me instead of driving hers.

855d tires and rims
When i sold my can am i didnt sold its tires. So now i have extra set of big horn copies. Pair of 27x10 r12 and pair of 27x12 r12. Tires are Wanda P350
I was wondering that if i can use those with orginal rims but now it seems that they dont fit and i need to buy 14 inch rims. Has anyone tried that size with orginal rims?

2013 XUV625I driveline problems
I bought a 2013 XUV625I back in March and received it in May. I got 35 hours on so far. Sunday, I was riding and heard a squeak/scrubbing sound coming from under the right side of the cab. I parked due to lack of time then. I got someone to drive it while I walked along trying to locate the sound. I found it. The driveshaft for front wheels comes out of the transmission and goes into a CV joint under the right side of the cab. Right next to the CV joint, there is a bearing stabilizing the shaft. Apparently, the bearing blew its seals and had leaked all of its grease out on the mount. It's well on its way to failure. Well, at least it's still under warranty. I'm taking it back to the dealer and letting them replace it. I hope that this was just an isolated problem with a bad part. I can't stand stuff like this going wrong as new as my Gator is. I would expect this after a couple of years of usage, but not this early in the game..

850D starting problem
Having some trouble starting our 850D. After the glow plugs heat up i turn the key and sometimes it starts like normal but it mostly just makes a blowing noise kinda like the starter isnt connected to anything. sometimes it will catch and turn the motor a couple times berfore (slipping?) sometimes it starts and other times itl try for a second and then slip.
Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?

Removing RSX 850i Dashboard
I need some advice on removing the dash. I have removed all screws from top of dash, steering column, and glove box. I was able to remove the steering wheel with a three arm puller. Now that I think I have everything ready I'm unable to remove. It feels like it's attached with the two end brackets on each end under the dash. Now that I have arrived at this point I'm concerned about how difficult it will be to put this back on and align. The reason for all this work is to install a heater that has all the duct work and vents. I am rethinking this purchase and wonder if a less complicated system would have been just as good.

Gator HXP w/no OPS, why?
I am looking at a used HPX diesel gator with no rollbar. They say it is a 2007, were the ones without the OPS older or was it an option?
The air intake hose goes over the valve cover, that must mean it has the smaller diesel?

My 550 came with a full windshield, I'm thinking about trying to make it a fold down half windshield. Has anyone done this or have any experience with this project? Thanks in advance. Jim

Overseas with my Deere
Hello and thank you ahead of time for any replies We currently have a 850d the issue we are experiencing is intermittent start issue just clicks and blows the reset-able fuse we put in please to replace the stock one (fuses like that are to come by) We replacing the starter I was lucky to find one but still same issue. any ideas would be great or if someone has a book for it that would be handy as well. This thing is our lifeblood moving around the fob

550 lighting suggestions??
I am a happy new owner of a XUV 550 and would like to hear about suggestions or recommendations on adding some light up front. I have the brush guard and see the holes there that could easily accommodate another pair of lights. What have others done that they are pleased with. Thanks in advance for your help.

gator 825I
I have a 2013 gator 825I. It has died and will not start. It tries to start when I crank it over but will not continue to run. The fuel pump does not cycle like it usually does when I turn on the key. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. It will crank over fine but will not start. It appears to be a wiring problem or lack of the fuel pump not cycling correctly.

Full windscreen
I'm having trouble with exhaust fumes coming back into the cockpit of my XUV 550. I'm thinking it's because the wind screen creates a vacuum behind itself, has anyone had this problem and did something to the windscreen?

Winding synthetic rope on Superwinch Terra
I got my winch installed this weekend but did not install the rope / hause until I had received the rubber winch stopper.
The Superwich rope comes with electrical tape on the end and goes through the hole. I played around with it a little while on the easiest way to feed it through and looking for a way to pull it through like with a spring hook. It just compresses and expands so does not fit through hole.
I searched online and one atv place said you may need to bore it out a hair to give it enough room to pull through. The rope is just taped to the drum.

New Custon Windshield
So, I wasn't happy with the half windshield that I bought with my RSX. Its great in the summer (I actually cut 5" off it to make it shorter), but with the temps getting close to freezing here, it was getting a little cold on the face!
So the choices....
JD's 'no scratch' windshield = I don't believe it won't scratch and I wasn't going to risk $500 to test it!
JD's glass windshield with wiper = Too much coin for something that looks like it came off a piece of logging equipment!
So I decided to build my own. Now saying that, I figured I may have to use a rubber insert to hold the glass in, but at least it would not cost $700+
I headed over to a buddys aluminum fab shop and we fabbed up a 1/8" aluminum frame, then headed down to the local glass shop and he suggested that we 'glue' the glass on with urethane similar to how automotive windshields are installed.
So we used 6 mm laminated safety glass with a slight tint and they painted the inside of the glass to hide the urethane. I am pretty happy with the result! Took it out yesterday and the cab is nice and warm now, we hit lots of branches on the trail, no scratches or cracks. Did some rock crawling and lots of twisting and no problems

where can I find used tires for my 6x4 gator
I have a "veteran" 6x4 diesel gator I use on 5 acres of fairly good terrain and really don't need brand new tires but I am getting a little tired of finding my tires low or flat and have spent enough on fix o flat to have bought a couple of new tires. I've found some on ebay or craigs list but would rather find something local. Any ideas, local JD store, atv store??? also, someone mentioned the gator wheels are a split design so I can mount them myself...fact or fiction?

Trying to figure out year of Manufacture and other info -
Hello - I am looking at purchasing a Gator 4x2, however the owner does not know the year or much about it. The serial number is said to be W004X2X005432. I cannot find that number on any serial number charts. I have not seen the number - it was provided to me by the owner - who supposedly double checked it for me. I suspect the number might be W004X2X065432 that would make it a 2001 model - but it is located a distance away and can't verify it myself. Can someone tell me the year it was made, any other info, engine size - if it is a TX, TS, etc. and what the approximate value might be - in good condition. It supposedly does not have an hour meter on it. Thank you for your help.
