Hi All. Well it's been awhile since I made up anything for the "Ridge Runner" so a set of Lens Guards were in order. Anyone running those very expensive Hella Driving lights will appreciate knowing that Hella does not sell replacement lens's. These puppies run about $100 each on line, and $150 each if you order them through J D. Now I just flip on the switch, and don't have to remember to stop and, remove the plastic covers! The grills are actually 6" backing racks purchased on sale at Amazon for $3.99 each. 1/4" steel rod, some t-rod connectors, and a few on-hand scraps round out the parts. By using the rod connectors I was able to pick up the existing holes on the brush guard. Another J D cloisonné key ring was used for a badge. Off to the powder coaters, and done! The project was finished at a cost of about $60 including coating. Money well spent to protect $500 to $600 worth of lights!
