Light bar

Does anybody out there have a light bar mounted to the cage, also with a JD stock roof and windshield? I'd like some options that don't include drilling holes in my roof.

Hello,

I have a gator I am borrowing from a friend.

I have no idea what it is. Here is the code under the passenger seat:

v006x4x05887

The rear right wheel makes a grinding sound at times. The issue is intermittent. I "gun" it and top out at 10-15 mph when the thing is making the noise, when it is not making the noise or feeling like it is "stuck" I get to 25-30 mph.

Any ideas on what model I have and what issue I could be dealing with?

Thank you in Advance

I just picked up my new RSX 860i and was wondering if anyone had any experience with wheel spacers to widen the vehicle track. My property is hilly and my RSX feels tippy. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

6x4 Diesel Gator Surging

I have been working on this gator for a while now fixed glow plug issues and have fully painted the frame to get it ready to be sold. My last task is to tackle the rough idle that is has. So when I start it up the rough idle doesn't kick in for about 10 seconds then its starts surging. I have changed the fuel filter and that did nothing. Before I spend more money on parts I do not need to replace I figured it would ask you all.

Thanks in advance!

Gator 6x4 Fuel pouring out of carb inlet

I have a Gator 6x4 CP 2008, with a Kawasaki fd620d gas engine. I have a NEW carburetor and Fuel pump, both Factory parts. And I have more fuel coming out of the intake of the (side draft)carb than the engine. I have checked the needle and seat, replaced the new needle with another new needle, and it acts like they are not even working. I have done everything except purchase a new carb! (it is a year old so I cant return) the float is plastic so it can not be adjusted.

Any suggestions?

825i belt CVT belt slap

Hi All,
I am having a slapping noise from the CVT belt when free wheeling. It sounds like the belt is separating but I took a the belt cover off to check and the belt seems fine. Once it heat ups it quites down. had replaced the belt this year once already and have maybe 30 hours on this one. I am planning a trip to the Hatfield Mcoy trails in a few months so want to make sure that I have this fixed before then.

I go through belts way to often and have shifting problems since day 1 on the machine back when JD was denying that there was anything wrong with the clutch.

Any ideas?

Well....after countless electrical problems and lack support from dealer.. I traded my 850i Saturday for a new Polaris General. It broke down every time I trail road and having to stay back at the cabin while my buddies road all day was not fun.... Now that being said, I'm not sure this machine will be any better...but after three trips six hours away and it breaking down every time I had to do something.. I REALLY liked that machine.. But when you spend 14k for something I would hope the wiring would not be designed by a two year old...Shame on you John Deere ... Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year !!!

ATV riding is a great way to unwind after a long week of working. But when you have one of the most physically taxing and intense jobs in the world, that time spent enjoying the trails can mean even more.

Miesha Tate, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, and Bryan Caraway, UFC men’s bantamweight contender, were able to escape the grind of a fighter’s life this summer with a powersports vacation in Ontario, Canada. The trip came just three weeks after Tate lost her UFC championship and gave her a chance to recharge.

'I live a very busy lifestyle – I live in Las Vegas and I’m constantly around people. So when I want to escape somewhere, I really want to escape,' says Tate. 'Coming up to Ontario, it’s something I’d wanted to do for some time because I’ve always heard how beautiful it was up here and how amazing and surreal it is.'

I was thinking about running a larger tire in my 860i but going with the same rim size on all 4 but using a 9 inch wide tire so that when I needed a new tire I just needed to always buy on size, one style spare. Any ideas or thoughts.

I'm a new member of the forum. I currently own a 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000/5 deluxe. I've heard some good things about the Gator 825I and heard in 2017 JD is upgrading some things on the Gator 825i.

Is there any word out there about these upgrades?

New Site Look and Feel Feedback Thread

Hello Everyone,

We're proud to announce that the new site look and feel has been completed for GatorForums.net! Our designers and software engineers have been hard at work on this for several months. It's designed to modernize the site, make it easier to use, and to make it more attractive to new members and guests that visit .

The forum software we use, vBulletin, by default is not designed to be friendly to the eyes or to look modern. We went down to the nuts and bolts of the forum software and templates, and have done a ground up approach. There are several things you will notice now that the new design is live.

1) The site should be significantly faster.

We have applied every modern technique to speed up page load and tested with all modern browsers. We want the forum to be extremely fast and easy to use.

2) The site will work much better in mobile and tablet views

We've started applying responsive design, and have designed and tested against android and iPhone devices, Android tablets, and iPads. If you are sitting at your desk or on your couch, or just on your phone, the site will work much better than it did before, and load fast. We are still working on improving the experience even further in the months to come, but we wanted to launch this as quickly as we could.

3) The homepage is bright, crisp and clean.

We wanted the first page users saw to look beautiful, so that when a new guest arrives and is debating whether to join GatorForums.net , they see a beautiful doorway, and they walk right in.

4) Garages will be featured on the site

You can show off your ride. You can post pictures in your garage and share it with others. Make sure you post up some images to share with the community.

5) Users will be able to register with Facebook

6) The side bar can be hidden in your user options.

Click on my profile / user cp at the top right.

- click on edit your details on the left.
- Look for Show Sidebar on Forum Pages under Additional Information.
- Click disable and save.

7) Another new great feature is the @Mention user plugin. You can tag members by simply using the @ symbol.

8) Drag and Drop image uploader

We hope you enjoy it, and if you have any questions on the design, please let us know, feedback is appreciated.

If there are any issues you see. Post them up here and we will get them worked out.

Thanks,
- Your GatorForums.net Team

These photos illustrate the definition of a good time

While we don’t always enjoy digging ourselves out of a mess, most of the time, the level of difficulty associated with getting an ATV or UTV unstuck is a good indicator of the level of fun had getting said machine stuck in the first place. Judging by these photos, these folks were having one heck of a good time.

8 Key items For UTV Hunting in the Bush

Don't leave home without them!

Just a few weeks back I had a great time hunting in the Canadian bush near Edmonton, Alberta and learned a lot about the terrain as well as the conditions that affected my adventure there.

The woods are thick and go for hundreds of miles with very limited cellular signal and even few encounters with other riders. This started me thinking about just what types of equipment I would really need in this setting to keep me moving forward, safe and, most of all, able to call for help should I need to.

Here are a few of the items I would now want to include in my packing list when I get the chance to return to the bush.
