How should the turn signals and hazard flasher behave on a XUV 825i above serial number 080001, i.e., Gators with the lighted Carling switches? I just installed front turn signal lights and a BM26183 Deluxe Light Harness Kit in my 2014. The turn signals and emergency flashers work as expected, but the behavior of the lights on the switches seems a bit strange.
With the ignition on, both arrows on the turn signal switch are continuously illuminated. If I press the switch to the right or to the left the signals work, but both arrows on the switch just remain permanently on. I expected one or the other switch arrow to flash with the signals. For the hazard light, the top double triangle stays constantly illuminated. The only thing that changes when the hazards are activated the is little circular light below the double triangle flashes red. Do all 825i models with Carling switches behave this way? Thanks.
