I have a 2015 JD 825i G/Y w PS. I had difficulty with the gear shift working a couple of summers ago. This summer, the machine would jerk after going into gear, forward and reverse, much like a beginner would jerk his car while trying to learn to use a clutch. This afternoon, we were driving, stopped and started again. We went only a couple of yards before we heard a clunking sound and the machine was not in gear. The visible linkage works, but the belt will not engage. We made certain the emergency brake was off. We tried moving with 4WD... unsuccessfully. A neighbor towed us home. The brakes worked while going downhill during the tow. Is this something we can repair or must I return it to the shop. My warranty expires 01/01/00... whenever that is.
