And if you have ever owned a 550...

Well i guess it is time to write the obligatory iam sorry john deere letter.

I worked on my first 560 for the first time as we have delays in shipping to our country and it takes time to have them break down.

And yes i started the job the same way as any 550 grumble grumble piece of s#$% i want to do something nice for a change.
And boy was i surprised to see john deere fixing little problems on the 560 to the point it even made me smile.

You can take the fan shroud off without disassembling the machine now.
You can remove the cvt cover now without almost having to cut the machine open with an angle grinder.
The 4x4 axle can be removed from the top by 4 bolts.

I still think that there is plenty to fix on this machine but the fact that they made maintenance so much easier actually makes this a really good machine.

Even the briggs is generally a good engine and i often stand up for it against my coworkers.
Yes the briggs is needy and i think john deere should put a different carb on it to make it alot better but just being able to work on it makes it that much better.

By the way: they did make the mixture screw non serviceable but you can drill it out and adjust it if needed.
I think the best solution is to adjust the carburettor to run leaner as the briggs on the 560 runs a bit too rich.
If anybody knows where i can find jets id be a happy man.

The one i worked on was running rich aswell and i had to adjust the float to lean it out as i could not get a hold on any jets
