Hey Guys, I have a 2013 Gator Xuv 550 with the briggs and stratton vanguard (570?) I think in it. Well, oil leaked out on me (all of the crankcase bolts wiggled out, which appears to be a common problem for these motors, too much vibrations i guess) and had to install new piston rings.
Anyways, got it all back together and it turns over real nice, but wont start. I have lots of spark and lots of fuel except its blowing out the backside of the carb. My plugs are dry as can be. These motors don't have a cam shaft or chain, so timing doesn't appear to be an issue, and all the valves seem to be working, (at least, I take the covers off and watch them work when I turn it over, plus I can push them down by hand.) I have a junky compression tester, and was able to get 80 psi on the front cylinder, couldn't get it into the rear cylinder. I have a better tester coming tomorrow.
Any ideas, what my problem is? Thanks.
Dusty
