New to the forum and new to Gators. I have a XUV590i S4 with 34 hrs on it. Yesterday while travelling about 20mph out on the ranch, there was a slight hiccup, like weight shifting or a something sliding into the tailgate of the truck. A few seconds later, another one. Followed by a loud knocking that slowed down as the rev's decreased. I stop immediately and shut her down. Put it in neutral and roll it back and forth to feel the drive train, everything feels good. Start it up real quick, knocking still there. Sounds like really bad valve lash. I called my dealer to arrange a tow.
I'm sure not everyone has a good or bad experience, but I'm just looking to know more about what I could expect. Does it vary a lot by dealer? Overall, how well does Deere handle warranty?
