Non Terminated 8AWG wiring in battery compartment

In the battery compartment of my machine there are 3 - 8AWG wires which are not terminated. There is a yellow and a blue which run under the cab in a wire loom towards the front. There is a black jumper about 16 inches long which is not terminated on either end. Are these related to the winch set up? If so, how do I properly terminate them to make my winch work?
