2012 RSX850i - Clutch grabby/jumpy and ? again

I bought this Gator used a year ago. I've been told it is characteristic of the model to have a jumpy clutch. I tried once to back it up to a trailer to hitch and it was a disaster. When you bring the RPM up enough to move it lurches hard. The best way I've found is to drive it with the brake - bring up the RPM until it grabs, then release the brake to move. I'm sure this is not good for the system long term.

So, I just want to confirm one more time...this is or isn't normal? I'm thinking of getting a trailer dolly to attach to my travel trailer then use the gator to move it forward and back in the driveway for other access...but this isn't going to happen with Sir Jerks a-lot.

If not normal - I've looked at EPI and noted they sell a clutch spring kit. I understand this may reduce some of the shock when the clutch engages.

I also get the hard to get it in and out of gear sometimes and correct that by a quick blip of the throttle then I can move the gear when it gets tough - I've heard this is normal and even read in the owner's manual about that.

By the way, I love the Gator. I recently used it and the winch to haul trees out of the creek. It was amazing...don't know how I would have done that job without it. Just coming to HATE the clutch...oh, and the exhaust that glows freaking red around the O2 sensors after it runs for a while and scares me to park it in the shop until after it has cooled down.
