New to me 2000 gator

I just picked up a 2000 gator 4x2 from the original owner, and she is an acquaintance that I don't know well. While I have no reason to doubt her recollection as to when she bought it, I would like to verify the year. Unfortunately, the serial number tag is mostly trashed beyond readability. Are there any other locations for the serial number (i.e. stamped somewhere)? The last 7 are readable and are X044419 (or X044479). The model, the bar code, etc are all gone or marred beyond usability. Those last 7 are about the only thing you can read.

PS: This is a real project but has a sound drive train, and I got it cheap. So I am willing to sink some money into it.
