Since I am a new owner I guess I just want to no the durability of a HPX. I have a 2004 4x4 and it only had 800 hrs. on it when I bought it. I do however use it in rock and sand quarry's and it does get a lot of mud on it from time to time , but I always wash it down good after use. Since I have owned it for only 5 months I have had to replace the front shocks ,a carrier bearing on the drive shaft going to the front wheel drive, and now the U joints on the drive shaft are going bad. My mechanic that works on them at a cement plant says this is a common problem and they took the 4 wheel drive off them at the plants. Just seems like John Deere would have built this thing a little better. And the cost of parts are just flat out ridiculous.
