Water in headlights

So I was bored and figured I mess with the gator. First pic shows what my headlights looked like with water inside. Second shows the headlight assembly in a box and making use of the wife's hair dryer. Closed up the box and turned the dryer on low. Took about 50 minutes per assembly. Water was getting in at the bulb seals. a little silicone fixed that.

Hello,
I bought an AMT 626 and am looking for a technical manual, the TM1363 if possible. Do you know where I can find it?
If you have it digital, could you maybe email it?

Thank you very much.

Kind regards,

snow blade for old Gator

Hi, trying to surprise my Father-in-Law for Christmas with a plow for his old reliable Gator. It's a 1995 JD 6x4 Gator, and I'm not able to dig up any info on what system would work/mount properly on his equipment. He'd crush me if I spent too much money on it, so I'd like to try and find something used, just not sure what the right parts are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have read where some people say John Deere has a upgraded fuse block to fix the melting of the 40 amp fuse . I have called three dealerships without any luck . Any help to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance .

Repair from HELL

A few weeks ago I was at our ranch property in northern Wyoming. We were riding up a trail following a creek, after crossing the creek several times the lower ball joint on the passenger side sheared off, not good to say the least considering the terrain is very rocky with the creek bed lined with watermelon size river rock.

We still have no idea which crossing the damage occurred, did I mention the tie rod was also bent? AND we were 2 miles upstream in a steep canyon with 40 degree water flowing through the creek. Truly up a creek ——Wait it gets better!

We were able to limp the 825 back to our remote property (no landline no cell service), carefully re tracing our tracks trying not cause any more damage.

Once back at the ranch, we pulled the wheel as upright as possible and wired the lower A arm to the knuckle assembly in order to load the Gator back on the trailer in preparation for a 6 hour drive home.

With the 825 safely loaded the trailer, we started the drive back home. During the drive home I obviously had the time to formulate a plan for the pending repair. I decided to go ahead and replace all ball joints on the front end and tie rod on the steering rack. I also was thinking it would be a good idea to replace both wheel bearings. I bought the Gator used and from my experience with previous repairs it was time to replace the bearings.

Okay I had a plan set, it was now time to start sourcing parts. While at a fueling and lunch stop driving home, I was finally able to get on the iPhone and the JD parts app and check availability at my local JD shop- mind you my home town “local” dealership is 30 miles away in a adjacent town. Well of course they didn't have anything AND you can't simply purchase a “tie rod” for the repair, at this point I was not confident the tie rod could be straightened. So I added the steering rack to the parts list. Ugh! $$$

Once back home with 2012 825 unloaded, I began dissembling the front end. At this point I also saw a torn outboard CV boot on the front axle, back the parts application on the computer. Can you guess? …. the boot was not available locally. SO another part order…crap! . After further tear down I noticed one of the front differential output seals was starting to show signs of oil seeping. Again trying to be proactive I decided to replace all the seals and gasket on the differential.

As I was getting ready to drain the oil from the differential, I remembered the drain plug needed to be replaced -because whoever serviced the differential before I bought the machine stripped the fricking plug.. thank god for vise grips!! Again parts were ordered, I was really thinking what is next?

Finally with the differential dropped and on the bench I removed case end in preparation of replacing the gasket. As I lifted the case end the roller cage came apart! with rollers and spring steel keepers all over the place. The cage was cracked, so with parts lying in the differential case I was thinking the clips fell deep into the abyss of the case… dang!! I had no idea how many were lost?

After thinking about it for a minute, I figured I could count the number of the clips on the end of the cage that remained somewhat intact in order to determine how many were lost. I truly did not want to tear down the gearing in the case to find the missing clips. So I found 9 clips- the assembled the roller cage has 10. Shit…. 1 clip was missing!!! Holy crap!! I searched all over the place AND finally found the missing clip on the floor HOORAY!!! Again the cage assembly was ordered!!!! PHEW …..

Oh I forgot to mention both wheel rotors were really questionable, and the brake pads needed to be replaced soon. I didn't want to tear down the front end anytime soon soooo rotors and brake pads were ordered

I hope the remaining parts will arrive in the next couple days, so I can finally put this thing back together. The weather is going to be cold the next few days, so I will have the propane heater blazing in my dirt floored barn ….

My friends wish me luck !!!!

TH Clutch Bolt M10x70 or 80

I have a low serial TH W06X4HD005401 but its missing the secondary clutch bolt. Transaxle AM133460 with serial 037095.

The attached deere parts page has options for 2 different bolts:
19M7809 M10x70 (use with long input shaft) and
19M7810 M10x80 (use with short input shaft).

I asked the local dealer who sold me the bolts but he said I'd have to bring it in.

Anyone have an idea on M10x70 or m10x80?

Bought new battery thinking the battery was old.
Doesnt take long for the battery light to come on when I turn on the lights. I have a LED bar as well on the roof. If Im driving around and turn off the gator and all lights. Sometimes there is not enough amps to crank the engine and I have to jump it. I also notice that only 2 of the four stock lights work in the front of the utv. I checked fuses and everything seems fine.

If anyone has had these problems or have experience in this I would greatly appreciate a sense of direction. Thank you

Hi guys. I drive a 2017 855d for work on the farm and I have bought a cheap motorbike radio to help keep me sane (the dogs don't say much) ha ha. Just a quick question about wiring it up. It has 3 power wires one positive one negative and one marked ignition if I can work out how to add a picture of the wiring diagram I will do. Just wondering how I would go about wiring it in. Can i bypass the ignition wire so that it works without the key needing to be turned or is it best to try and use all 3 wires? Any help or suggestions would be great. I've looked under the bonnet and there is some spare ends. One black and red one yellow and black and one with 2 yellow and one black wires would there be the ones to use or would it be easier to go direct from the battery?

Road Pro heater Installation in 825i

$

Just added a $40 heater to the deluxe cab of my 825i. Didn't like the idea of losing my glove compartment(or the $500) with the JD stock heater. I know it is not the same class of heat, but was surprised at the amount of heat it did produce. Nice feature too, is that it starts immediately, instead of waiting 10 minutes for the engine to warm up. A lot of my trips are shorter than that. Used some 3M super tape(doubled sided) to just mount it under the dash, and a 40 amp continuous duty relay driven from the ignition so that I didn't forget and leave it on and drain the battery. I ran the wires under the center floor console, and tied the relay in to the overhead cab wiring(coil) and direct to the battery(load). Model I used was RoadPro RPSL-681 12V. It is only 300 watts, but makes a difference.

Another new owner

I purchased a RSX850I Sport that has aftermarket LEDs on it and the previous owner stated that he was checking lights with a voltage meter and caused a spark and now none of the lights work. I bought as is. I checked all the fuses under the hood and all of them are ok. Are there others that would shut off the headlights as well as the aftermarkets? Also where can a owners manual and shop manual be acquired? Thanks
