Hey all:
I was able to get the little green monster out for the first time which was also my first riding experience since I picked it up last Sunday. The machine is an absolute blast as expected. I live here on the AR river which also happens to be an abandoned golf course that my neighborhood sits in. So I have a mix of trails, river bottom, cart path, and sand to play around with. My first test was a full pull which she topped out at 55. It would toggle between 54-55. I assume this is normal? I don't know why we would need to go faster than that anyways...Second, I took to the open fairways which was awesome, you can imagine the over grown grass. However, it provided a nice smooth ride minus the clanking seat belt and door noise. Third, I went into the old sand traps and was able to do some fun fish tailing and spins as I know we all like to give her a little hell when coming out of a corner haha. The final step was the trails along the river which was quite muddy! This is where she really shined. The bottom end power is so smooth and effortless (the RSX is a torquey son of a gun!). It had no troubles getting through mud or going up some steep loose gravel hills. I didn't even have to touch 4 wheel drive once. Most of the individuals around me have rangers. I'm the odd ball neighbor who went out on a limb and went with the JD. I am very impressed and super excited to have bought the RSX. I can't wait to stack up with some others riders in my hood once the weather breaks. I think they will be just as impressed as I am.
I hope everyone here had first memorable ride as I did. Here is a pic I took!
:) still smiling from the ride.
