OMG. I need a new starter in my 825i. They couldn't find another spot to put this thing!?
The way it looks to me I need to unhook the positive cable from it in-place in that little starter chamber and then undo the 2 bolts inside the clutch housing. The starter will drop into the center of the earth and I fish it out. Then I cut and scrape my hands up while I try to hold it in-place to reinstall the 2 bolts and reconnect the power... 4 hours later I'll wish I brought it to the dealer to do, until I realize they would have charged me 400 to do the same hideous job.
Did I pretty much get that right?
