My 2014 xuv625I with 120 hours is driving me and the JD dealer crazy with sporadic engine stalling. The machine starts normally and will run as expected for about an hour +/- at some point the engine revs start to drop, the fan comes on and almost immediately thereafter the engine stalls out completely. Given a "rest" of 10 minutes or so I can start it up, run it for perhaps 5 minutes and the slow down/stall cycle repeats itself. Last week it was 4 "cycles" in less than 30 minutes to limp back to my shed.
Now the fun part...the next two days I tried to duplicate the scenario to better instruct the dealer and the machine performed flawlessly for 4+ hours of trail work at 60 degree air temps and letting the engine idle between trail clearing jobs...no stall at all!
Previously we have replaced the thermostat, flushed and filled the coolant, checked the fan relay and all seemed to be in specs...but the thing continues to stall unexpectedly.
The dealer is as lost as I am...would appreciate any ideas from Forum members. Thank you
