I just picked up an early what I think to be 92 or 93 4X2 gator. Square Headlights, rusty frame (no serial number) . Runs great but I want to swap the parts into a 97 to 2005 frame that I have. They look very much alike. Is this swap possible? The JD numbers are different. I know there may be the missing mounting holes or similar, I am concerned about big items like steering and transmission hook up. I have pretty good mechanical and machining and welding skills.
