RSX 850i valve cover removal

I am new to this forum. I have done the valves on a number of small engines. I offered to reset the valves on a friends RSX850i at 1200 hours. How does one get the top cylinder valve cover off to have access to the rocker arms. I tried everything including spinning it, nothing.
