825i suspension bushings

I have a 825i with about 975 hours on it and there is a thumping noise and what feels like sideways sway coming from what feels like the suspension. I normally only hear is when I apply the brakes at slow speed or when going over a twisting bump.

I have tried to locate it by jacking the machine up and manually trying to wiggle everything but cannot locate the source. My assumption is that a bushing in the suspension is going out but I can not be sure.

Any ideas or recommendations.
