I am a john deere mechanic in israel and came to learn some more about how the diy-ers work.
We mainly sell and work on small riding mowers and gators so thought this would be my best bet to learn some more and maybe return the favor in the process.
At work things kind of run differently than in the states.
Here it's a mentality of keep fixing it untill there's no life left.
We regularly work on vehicles with 2000+ hours and have seen some tick over 9000.
This results in some big expected repairs quite often obviously.
As for myself I am in the process of taking a scrap 2x4 ts and swapping the engine for a motorcycle engine.
I am still in the planning phase but as it seems now I will be taking the gearbox out and putting a 1.25 inch shaft with a sprocket between the 2 driveshafts.
The engine I don't know for sure but I have my eyes on a 650 rotax bike engine.
Either that or something bigger if can grab something.
