Thought some of you might 'enjoy' this !
I recently bought a 2012 John Deere 850i . Everything looked good but wanted to change out all the fluids: engine oil, transmission oil, front and rear 4WD units.
Read up on it in owner's manual, searched threads on here and was all set. Got it up on ramps and crawled underneath, skidplate in good shape, and located the access holes for the various items that needs servicing. Great right?
Well......whoever did the last service or for some other reason, removed the skidplate and when they reinstalled they flipped it over. Still does it's job to protect BUT THE ACCESS HOLES ARE NOW ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE MACHINE !!!!
So had to remove the skidplate . In reality that isn't a big deal and made getting at things easy although it supposedly isn't necessary. Still, have some pride in your workmanship, put the damn thing on correctly! SMH
