825i oil filter and oil capacity

iv had our 2011 825 in the garage after i bought it i need to change the oil,i thought id use castrol synthetic but im not sure what filter to get when i go in town,will 3 quarts be enough?thanks for any help.
iv got new wheels and tires coming from JEDS tuseday i cant wait
