XUV550 idle surge

My 2012 XUV550 (72 hours) died the other day. I had run it pretty hard for maybe 10 minutes. It started and ran after a couple of minutes, but now fluctuates steadily when idling (and sometimes dies). I changed the fuel filter, but no help. Unless anyone has a better idea, I plan to give the carb a good clean.

Is there a preferred spray or additive I can try before tearing it down?
