So.....I have been shopping around for a pull behind trailer for the xuv550, mostly for hauling brush or junk around the property. Never really saw one that wowed me for the price they ask.
My cargo box is currently removed for repair, and I started thinking....why couldn't I have a longer bed fabricated just for hauling. Making use of the receiver as another support point (for rear struts), I think it may work well. I would want it in 2 pieces to minimize weight. One piece would be the hitch support and the other would be the bed itself.
Has anyone done, or heard of this being done?
