Tired of Broken Keys

Hey all. I have family that can't grasp the theory of "it has to be in neutral or it won't start". I know that it is a little touchy to get it in neutral but they think that if they turn the key a little farther something will happen (and it does, the key snaps!!). So, being the good guy that I am I thought that if I could mount a small LED that illuminates when the gator is properly in neutral, (the switch is being satisfied) I may save some money on replacement keys. I have been looking for a schematic for the starting circuit to no avail. Just looking where in the circuit I can insert said LED. I don't want to put it on the feed to the ignition switch, as it would always be lit when the gator is running. I need it somewhere off the safety switch so it will go out when you put it in forward or reverse. Any help or a schematic would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I have a 96 6x4 gas gator
