I have an older gator, 2000 or 2001, 2x4. I have been having trouble starting it without leaving it hooked up to the battery charger 24/7. I put a new battery in Friday, and it has started and run well without the battery charger all weekend. Just now, went to start it, and no turnover or click, nothing, ran great all day and started several time today with no problem. Attach the battery charger and 5 minutes later it starts. Runs great.
I drive it all day on the farm and having to attach battery charger is getting old. Somebody suggested maybe a short somewhere? Anybody have and idea what might be going on?
Also nioticed this morning that it backfired 2 different times when shutting it off.
