I have an older 6x4 gator that just recently started to run bad. I cleaned the carb out and still nothing. It runs great for about 5-10 minutes then starts to sputter and smoke. I went to clean the carb out again when I noticed oil inside the carb. I believe that the oil is the reason why its running so rough.
From the research I have done it could be a bad head gasket. I compression tested each cylinder and they both got up to a little over 150psi. Ill try a leakdown test tomorrow and see if each cylinder holds air.
Any help/solutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
