After retiring from 42 years of Navy and moving out into the sticks, I purchased a new 855D Camo with cab, sound kit, tilt bed, winch, and heater for our Northern Idaho spread. After 3 years, I've learned that diesel and hydraulics will do so much more than my worn out body will do. I've done some mods, learned some tricks, etc. Big things were street rims/tires for most of the time and Mongrels for everything else. Second was putting a turbo in. That makes all the difference. Still only get 32 (34 downhill), but the extra torque and HP make the loads going uphill much more workable. So if there's a question out there on this 855D stuff, I'll be happy to respond. I don't get to this site too frequently so a message will work better. It continues to be a journey of discovery with this thing, but it makes so much possible.
