Steering Wheel Removal

I installed the EZ Steer power steering on my 2012 RSX850i. Like many have said, removing the steering wheel was the biggest hurdle. A regular car steering wheel puller would not work and prying it off would tear up the wheel. So I made a bracket to bolt behind the steering wheel and used a gear puller to pull the wheel. The steel bracket gives the gear puller something solid to pull on without pulling on the plastic and tearing it up. All it took was a few turns of the gear puller to tighten it down plus one hard hit on the puller with a hammer and the steering wheel popped right off. I made mine with 3 pieces of 3 inch flat steel 10 inches long that bolts together behind the wheel. Make the opening just big enough to fit behind the wheel. Mine measures 4 1/2 inches from the flat part of the triangle to one of the points. Just drill your bolt holes where needed. I don't think the actual size of the opening is super critical but it does need to fit snug. This bracket will save you a ton of frustration and it makes the job of removing the steering wheel very easy. If you don't have a gear puller borrow one from a friend who does or rent one from an auto parts store. Pictures are attached.
