Gator 550 s4 XUV won't start......

I just picked up a new to me 2012 Gator 550 s4 with 195 hrs on it. It sat quite a while at it's previous home and hasn't run in quite some time. I changed the fuel filter and spark plug but it still won't start. I can get it to start for a few seconds with starter fluid but then it just dies again. Anything that is common on these machines to check or replace?

I'd obviously rather not take it to the dealer if I can help it.
