625I Gator clock/operating hours question

I purchased a new 2014 model 625I Gator and from day 1 the dashboard clock function has been both inaccurate and needing constant re-setting...it runs "fast" relative to actual local time. No biggie ...I just ignore it most of the time. I recently changed the oil/filter and as I entered the dashboard operating hours in my maintenance log book it occurred to me that perhaps the inaccurate clock function was somehow linked to the dashboard operating hours meter.

Can some more technically inclined Forum member educate me as to whether or not the clock and hours meter are or are not linked. I do not want to be building "phantom" operating hours if the fast running clock is, in fact, linked. If not...great...I will just ignore the clock function...if yes...is there a fix to be recommended?
