We have a 2007 HPX 4x4 Diesel that we use as our maintenance buggy in a shipyard. It's approaching the end of its usable life. It has 6,660 hours on it and it's starting to show in the engine. Transmission housing is cracked and leaking, and other issues. We're going to keep band-aiding it until I can find a replacement. I don't have the budget to buy something new right now.
My requirements are only that it's diesel and has a bed. 4x2 is fine since we never engage the front axle on it. I may keep it as a parts machine, or just sell it outright. How is the interchangeability between other models, or other years? It seems like when I order parts I need the serial number so it seems like they probably can't be swapped out too much.
What other models should I be looking for or avoiding?
