I bought this used a couple years ago and have had this issue since I got it. Thought a couple times I had it licked but, it persists. I like the machine very much but the park brake is a frustration. I have replaced the pads, the cables and reset everything as the service manual directs but, still no good on the park brake. Is this a common problem and if so, is there a work around/ solution?
There is lots of adjustment on the cable to the brake but, unless I am seeing something incorrectly, you only have the diameter of the bearings that push on the pads as the total amount of travel adjustment which is about 1/4 inch. And, the travel of the brake arm is limited by the brake pad assembly anyway. Any suggestions, hints or courses of action would be welcome. Thanks.
