Hello all, new member here. :)
I'm installing a new engine in my 6x4, and have a question about the drive belt. My gator was built in 1996, and had the Kawasaki FD620 motor. It died, so the new engine is a Honda GX630. The original mounting holes don't line up, so I need to drill new holes in the engine compartment. I have found info regarding the minimum width of the drive belt, but nothing about how much deflection is correct when the gator isn't running. I understand how the belt moves up and down in the clutch, but I'm unsure of where to anchor the engine to get the proper belt tension. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
