ok so I'm new here and I bought my gator new in may of 13. so i have 450 miles on it and maybe 100 hours. it from new would grind from time to time going into gear and i really notice it when plowing snow it does it a lot. i took it out two weekends ago had to blasé a trail i was locked in 4 wheel and got her real hot. it was like locked into high i couldn't get it out of gear after a bit it fianllly went to neutral then the rest of the time it was always grinding and stuff latter that night after it cooled off it went back to lick it normally is grinds sometimes not always it sometimes just goes in gears and seems fine... i took it to deere the other day got a call today said needs a clutch or a disk something like that. they want 1250 bucks to do it. I'm not made of money so can i do it myself my buddie will help me hes a mechanic by trade and has a rzr and stuff. should i buy a whole new clutch or a disk? what do i need tool wise? part numbers for this stuff? is there a better aftermarket clutch that will be better for plowing and everyday ridding? if anyone can help me with this before the nice weather goes away so i an ride again and for winter when i need it to plow..
