Hello, I have had so many electrical problems with my RSX 850i. First was the problem of not charging and melting fuses. I found John Deere has an updates fuse buss I ordered that and installed it fixed that problem.
For the past two years at random my gator will shut off for no reason at all but will start back no problem. I have checked the battery connections and all is tight. It did it today on me 6 times but hasn't done it for the last two months. I cannot figure out why.
I get a battery light at time idling. New Battery, and checked voltage it is a constant 12.7 at idle when I rev up the motor it shoots up in the 13.1 to 13.5 range indicating the alternator is working.
I am at a loss on this. I have paid the dealership the last two years $500 dollars plus on these problems and still nothing.
I have read numerous forums and have tried everything I can think of. I have 720 "easy" miles on the machine. Am I missing something that I can do to resolve these issues of dying? I am worried it will die on me oneday and I have an accident.
