After riding the OEM CST Ancla Tires for 800kms I was really tired of the noise and the feeling of driving on a tractor. Plus they really tear up the turf.
So I looked at alternative tires made for UTV and with the proper load rating for a Gator 825i S4 (2500lbs fully loaded and full cab)
I wanted something that was puncture resistant so 6+ ply rating was a must. I also wanted to keep my 12" rims to save $$. Having smaller rims also helps keep rocks and branches away from the caliper.
I found these and ordered them through my local tire dealership in Canada they cost me $600 which was a lot less then ITP Blackwater EVO around $900.
I got 27X9-12 for fronts and 27X11-12 for the back. If you want larger then you need to upgrade the rims to 14"
CLINCHER REAR CU04 | Utility Tires | CST Tires
I can say there is a huge difference in handling a high speed, and the noise level has dropped significantly, we can now carry a conversation at 50km/h without screaming.
Those interlocking C lugs really smooth out the terrain on hardpack and asphalt :)
No issues in ruts or mud, lots of sidewall bite and protection
