I took this on trade and have some questions on it if you guys don't mind. I know plenty about SxS's but no knowledge of these. I come from a Maverick and Rzr world.
It's a 2015 RSX850i, 700 miles.
1..When starting, sometimes there is a delay. Brake pedal down, turn key to start position and nothing but fuel pump, then 1-2 seconds later, it spins over and starts. You would almost think it was intentional as it's very consistent in delay but I doubt that as sometimes it just turns right over as soon as the key is turned to start position. I can't find a rhyme or reason/trick to do it. I can't replicate it every time either way. Hmm. I don't see anything odd or loose in terms of battery or starter cables.
2..When initially started the engine is rather quiet but as it warms up to 2-up bars it ticks a bit. I would almost say it's the CVT as they make noise but this one is snorkeled and the sound is not really increased out the CVT exhaust snorkel.
3..also when when 1st started, cold. It doesn't run smooth. Over the course of 10-20 seconds it evens right out. It's not hunting and doesn't stall but it's not smooth for the 1st maybe 20 seconds.
4..I understand sump systems. When checking oil level, I start and ldle for a minute and then hold rpms about 4k for about 30 seconds. The level is 3/4 on the entire flat portion of the stick where the F hash mark is.
