I've got a '07 620i with a heater kit, using the JD fitting on the block to provide the 1/2" input line to the heater. Mine doesn't have a coolant temp sensor as shown, just a "block off" bolt, but the fitting fits just fine.
Where do you put your return line from the heater? The generic instructions I've found say to install the T-fitting in the "radiator return hose" which appears to go into the thermostat housing, and also doesn't seem to be the smartest location -- wouldn't the thermostat have to be open to allow actual coolant flow? There's a small section of hose between the thermostat and water pump but not enough to fit the 1"/0.5" t-fitting.
Anyway, looking for help from anyone that's done this install successfully as I'm apparently lost...
