So I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and join.
My name is Rich and I bought a 2008 HPX 4x4 with 1170 hours last year. It was pretty rough but all was fixable. To date I have:
Through Cleaning (Looked like it had been run through a muddy river a few times and never cleaned up. There was dirt everywhere.)
Rebuilt Engine
Replaced Drive Belt
Replaced front end (axles, ball joints, shocks, bushings, etc.)
Replaced all brake pads
Swapped 10" wheels and TurfTrac tires with 12" wheels (from maybe a 620) and Carlisle All-Terrain (25x12 and 25x9)
BORA Wheel Spacers with Studs (2" Rear, 1" Front)
Grant Steering Wheel
Bermuda Bell
And, since the bed was pretty rusted out, I cut out all the sheet metal down to the bed frame and made a stake bed out of it. I have to say it came out pretty good.
I still need to replace the fenders since they are cracked and then add an OPS, roof and windshield. (If anyone has any of these things for sale, let me know.)
I use the HPX mostly for cruising the 'hood and hauling my cooler to the various parties we have. Occasionally I pull boats and jet skis out of the lake. Now that I have it mostly rebuilt, it's a great machine.
I look forward to being a member here.
