New Gator guy here. I recently purchased an older Gator with a manual dump. I'd like to install a (non-JD) power lift and plan on using an actuator from Northern Tool with a 6" stroke. However, my rough calculations say I need something less than 6" from full retraction to full extension. The actuator comes with non-adjustable limit switches to prevent damage to the actuator, but they're of no use if the box reaches its limits before full extension or retraction happens. With 675# of force, it could do some serious damage if the actuator is allowed to extend or retract beyond the boxes limits.
So I'm thinking that a couple limit switches would be the answer. I've seen several wiring schematics, but none have shown limit switches. Am I missing something?
